Maria’s home is beautiful, clean, and spacious – a rare find. The apartment in Adelianos Kampos overlooks the ocean, which is across the road within two minutes walking distance. There are great amenities in the apartment including air conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher, a very well equipped kitchen, a beautiful sitting area and dining room, and two great balconies. The balcony on the back of the house (south facing) is very large, and gets lots of sun. You could sit outside here with many people and enjoy the afternoon and evening with great food. The apartment is excellent for families travelling with friends / parents. My wife and I stayed here with our 8 month old and a friend and were all very comfortable. Maria provided kind touches to the apartment on our arrival including fresh fruit and cake, toys for the baby, and even some raki (traditional greek liquor)! The kitchen is stocked with the basics for cooking (oil, vinegar, coffee, etc), and has all the gear necessary to prepare meals for your family, including a food processor to make purees for babies! Maria is an excellent host and went to great lengths to ensure we had a pleasant stay. She had recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing, and even arranged for us to visit a winery. This apartment was an excellent base to explore Crete by car (there is a parking space), and was a short drive to the beautiful old city of Rethymno. We would recommend this property highly, and would come back to stay here again when we come back to beautiful Crete.
